Terms of Use
Last updated 26 October 2026 · Bridgeshore Labs, LLC
The short version
- Albumagic, by Bridgeshore Labs, LLC, turns your photos into a memory video that AI makes and checks. You pay once per video through Apple or Google. There is no subscription.
- Use only photos you have the right to use, with the agreement of the people in them, or a parent’s or guardian’s for a child. We refuse sexual or suggestive content, any child shown in a suggestive way, and graphic violence.
- If our checks stop a video, you get a free video instead, and changes are free for 30 days. Refunds come from Apple or Google, and your rights as a consumer stay.
- We delete photos 30 days after your video is ready and videos after 90 days, so save yours to your phone.
1. About these terms
These terms are a contract between you and Bridgeshore Labs, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, of 1818 Bellmore Ave, North Bellmore, NY 11710, USA (“Albumagic”, “we”, “us”). They cover the Albumagic app for iPhone and Android, the videos it makes, and our website, albumagicapp.com, with its watch and invite pages (together, the “service”). The short version above is only a summary; these numbered terms are what count.
You accept these terms by ticking “I accept the Terms of Use and have read the Privacy Policy” before you choose photos. Each order is made under the terms you accept for it. If you watch a video by link or open an invite page, the parts of these terms about that use apply to you too. If you don’t accept them, please don’t use the service.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with personal data.
Who may use Albumagic. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to make a binding contract. Albumagic isn’t for children. You may include photos of a child only as section 4 explains.
Where. Albumagic is sold in the countries and territories where your store offers it. It isn’t sold everywhere: not in Israel, Russia, Belarus or mainland China, and for now not in the European Union, the European Economic Area (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway), the United Kingdom or Gibraltar.
Sanctions. You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a US government embargo or that the US government has designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Apple and Google aren’t parties to these terms. Section 14 explains their role and includes terms Apple requires.
2. Your account
The first time you open the app, it makes an anonymous account for that install. We don’t ask for your name, email address or phone number. The app shows an account code in My videos and Settings; quote it when you write to us.
Your account, your videos and any free videos are tied to the app on your phone. There is no password, so we can’t move your account to another phone or restore it if you delete the app or lose your phone, unless your phone’s own backup restores the app’s data, and we can’t promise that it will. If you lose access to an account that still holds a free video or an unused purchase, write to us with the account code or the order number on your store receipt, and we will try to help.
Keep your phone secure. Anyone who can open the app on your phone can see your videos and use your free videos.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings (section 12).
3. What we make for you
You choose an occasion, a mood, an opening, 6 to 80 photos and their order, titles in one of the languages the app offers for them, and a screen shape (landscape or portrait). You can add up to 150 photos and let the app pick the best, or choose and arrange them yourself. After you pay, our system makes a video: AI brings each photo to life and moves into the next, makes an opening scene and music for your video alone, and puts your titles on screen.
The service is fully automated. No person edits your video or looks at your photos to make it. Claude, an AI model by Anthropic, checks every photo, every moment against the two photos it joins, and the finished video. A moment that keeps failing the checks becomes a plain dissolve, a soft fade from one photo to the next.
Most videos are ready in about 30 minutes; the longest can take up to an hour and a half. This is an estimate, not a promise. You can close the app; your video will wait in My videos.
The style, pace and music follow the occasion and mood you choose. A video in memory of someone is always made gently. Lengths shown in the app are approximate.
Sometimes we can’t make a video, for example if too few usable photos remain after our checks, or if the finished video fails them. Section 7 then applies.
We may change the AI models, styles, music, providers and features we use, as long as this doesn’t materially reduce what you paid for.
Save your video to your phone. We delete it 90 days after it is first ready, and we can’t restore it. Keep your original photos too: we work with copies, and we delete them on schedule.
4. Your photos and your rights
Your promises
You may use only photos and titles that you have the right to use. When you choose photos, you promise that:
- you took the photos, or you have the right or permission to use them to make a personal video (a professional photographer usually owns the copyright in their photos, even photos of you);
- every adult shown has agreed to be in the video, or you are otherwise entitled to use the photos for a personal family or memorial video, and nobody shown has asked you to leave them out;
- for every child shown, you are their parent or legal guardian, or you have the permission of a parent or guardian, and as far as you know no other parent or guardian objects;
- for a person who has died, you are a family member or otherwise entitled to use the photos for a memorial or family video;
- the photos and titles follow section 5 and don’t break the law or anyone’s rights, including copyright, privacy and image rights; and
- you understand that your photos and titles go to the AI services named in our Privacy Policy, as it describes.
We don’t check who owns the photos or whether the people in them agreed. We rely on your promises. If someone in a photo, or a child’s parent or guardian, asks you to remove it, please do: delete your account, or write to us to delete one order.
If you knowingly, or through gross negligence, break these promises and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you will cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, as far as the law where you live allows. This applies only if we tell you about the claim promptly, let you take part in the defence, and don’t settle it without your agreement, which you won’t unreasonably refuse.
What you let us do
Your photos and titles stay yours. You give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, send, analyse, edit, animate and adapt them, and to make the video and still images from them. We use this licence only to make, check and deliver your video, make the changes you ask for, show the video through a watch link when you make one, keep the files for the periods in our Privacy Policy, and comply with the law. We may pass these rights on only to the services named in our Privacy Policy, for these purposes. The licence ends when the files are deleted, except for copies the law requires us to keep.
We don’t use your photos, titles or videos for marketing, and we don’t use them to train AI.
Who owns the video
As between you and us, the video is yours, to the extent anyone can own it, and we give you any rights we have in it. The Albumagic name and logo, and the fonts, title designs, openings and other elements we use to make videos, remain ours or our licensors’. You may use them as part of your video, but not separately.
The law on material made by AI is unsettled. In the United States, the Copyright Office’s view is that material generated by AI from prompts isn’t protected by copyright unless a person contributed enough creative expression; other countries may see it differently. Your own photos keep whatever protection they have. The video, or parts of it, may therefore not be protected, and similar results may be made for other people. We don’t promise that the video is protected or unique.
Using your video
You may use the video for any lawful personal purpose, including showing it at events and sharing it with family and friends or on your own social media accounts. For business use, for example selling videos or using one in advertising, ask us first.
Don’t register the video or its music with Content ID or similar systems, and don’t claim the music as your own work. The music is newly made by AI, but it may resemble existing styles or works. If a platform flags the music in your video, tell us and we will help where we can.
5. What isn’t allowed
What we refuse
Before any clip is made, our automated checks look at every photo. We refuse the whole order if any photo shows:
- sexual or sexually suggestive content, or nudity shown in a sexual way;
- a child in any suggestive way; or
- graphic violence, gore or abuse.
When we refuse an order, we stop before any clip is made. You get no video and no free video. The app tells you which photo broke the rules, where it can. Apple or Google may still refund you under their policies. We may also stop your account from placing new orders.
Where US law requires us to report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) (18 U.S.C. § 2258A), we do so, and we keep the material and the account and order details that go with it for as long as that law requires.
What we leave out
Some photos are innocent but not right to animate: a baby or child in the bath, people in underwear, a medical scene, or a person who appears to have died in the photo itself. We leave them out and make the video from your other photos. The price doesn’t change, and the app lists the photos left out. If too few photos are left to make a video, section 7 applies.
Also not allowed
You must not use Albumagic to:
- deceive, impersonate, harass, shame or harm anyone, or make a video meant to pass as real footage of something that didn’t happen;
- animate public figures or celebrities, unless they appear in your own genuine family or event photos;
- infringe anyone’s rights or break any law;
- get around our checks or limits, use the service by automated means, or misuse invites or watch links; or
- copy, reverse engineer or interfere with the app, the website or our systems, except as the law allows.
How we check, and how to disagree
Our checks are automated. Claude looks at every photo before any clip is made, and our AI providers run their own safety filters, which may block a photo or a moment even when it is allowed; that moment may then become a plain dissolve. No person at Albumagic looks at your photos as part of these checks. People who watch a video by link can report it (section 9).
If something breaks these rules, we may refuse the order, leave out photos, end a video’s watch links or stop an account from ordering. Where it is reasonable and lawful, the app tells you what happened and why.
Automated checks can make mistakes in both directions. If you think a photo was refused or left out by mistake, write to us within 7 days, while the order’s photos still exist. If you ask us to, a person will look at that photo and answer you; otherwise nobody sees it.
6. Paying
You pay for each video with a single in-app purchase through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. The price depends on how many photos the video holds. The app shows it before you buy, as your store shows it, with any tax your country requires. One purchase pays for one video of that size or a smaller one.
Apple or Google takes your payment, collects any sales tax or VAT and sends your receipt, under its own terms. We never receive your card or bank details. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
If your store is still waiting for the payment, for example for a family organiser’s approval, your order waits, and we make your video as soon as the payment goes through.
If your payment goes through but your order doesn’t reach us, for example because the connection drops, the purchase waits in your account and pays for your next video of that size or smaller. You are never charged twice for one video.
We may change prices. A change doesn’t affect a purchase you have already made.
7. Changes, failed videos and refunds
Free changes
For 30 days after your video is first ready, you can tap “Ask for a change” on it. You have up to 3 rounds. In each one, you can choose moments to make again, ask for different music, edit the titles, or any mix of these. Up to 5 moments can be made again in all; new music and new titles don’t count toward the 5.
A moment made again is a new AI attempt. It will look different, but not necessarily better. The new version replaces the previous one in the app, so save the current version first if you want to keep it. If a change can’t be made, your video stays as it was and the change isn’t counted.
Changes can’t add, remove or reorder photos, or change the occasion, mood, opening or screen shape; for those, make a new video. Changes don’t extend the 90 days we keep the video.
If we can’t make your video
If our checks stop your video, or we can’t make it for another reason, such as a long outage at one of our providers, it is never delivered. The purchase becomes a free video of the same size, and the app tells you so. A free video pays for one video of its size or smaller, and the app offers it first when you get to Pay, so you don’t pay again. It has no cash value, can’t be transferred or exchanged for money, and doesn’t expire while your account exists. It is lost if you delete your account.
A refused order (section 5) gets no free video.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by the store you paid:
- Apple App Store: ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or from your purchase history. Apple decides under its own policies. We can’t refund App Store purchases ourselves.
- Google Play: within 48 hours of the purchase, ask Google from your Google Play order history. After 48 hours, Google refers you to us: write to us with your Google Play order number, and we will handle it under these terms and the law.
If you live in the EU, the UK or another country with a right to cancel online purchases, your store’s cancellation terms apply. For example, Apple’s UK terms give 14 days to cancel without a reason, but not once the supply of digital content has started at your request.
If a store refunds a purchase, it can no longer pay for a video: a free video from it is removed, and we may remove the video it paid for. A refused order gets no free video, but you can still ask your store for a refund.
Your rights under the law
These rules add to your rights as a consumer and don’t limit them. If digital content you bought is faulty, not as described or not supplied, the law where you live may give you a right to have it fixed, to a price reduction or to a refund. If your video has a fault our checks missed, such as a garbled title, a broken frame or a face that changed, use a free change within 30 days or write to us. A result you don’t like because of the nature of AI (section 10) isn’t a fault, but that is what free changes are for.
8. Invites and free videos
Each account has an invite code, in Settings under “Invite friends”. A friend enters it in Settings, under “I have an invite code”, before their first video. Each account can use one code, and not its own.
When a store purchase first pays for one of your friend’s videos, you get a free video for up to 12 photos, 14 days later, unless that purchase is refunded first. It appears in My videos.
You can get up to 5 free videos from invites in any 12 months; a friend’s video beyond that earns nothing. If your account no longer exists when a free video is due, it isn’t given.
Your friend pays the usual price and gets nothing extra. Free videos have no cash value and can’t be sold, transferred or exchanged for money. Inviting yourself, for example from a second phone, isn’t allowed, and we may cancel free videos earned that way.
The invite page counts how often your code’s page was opened, and records nothing about who opened it. We never see your contacts: you choose who gets your invite. Your Invite friends screen shows only counts and dates, never who your friends are or what they made.
We may change or end the invite programme for the future. Free videos you have already earned stay yours, including ones still within their 14 days.
9. Watch links
On a ready video, “Copy a link” makes an unguessable web address. Anyone who has the link can watch the video, titles included, until the video is deleted 90 days after it was first ready, or until you turn the link off. Turning it off forgets the address for good; a new link gets a new address.
You decide who gets the link. A link can be passed on, so share it only with people who may see the video, and treat it like the video itself. The watch page asks search engines not to list it.
Anyone watching can report the video on its page, or by emailing us the link. A report ends that video’s links for good: it can’t have a link again. Nobody watches a reported video to decide; we read the reason the viewer gives. You keep the video, and “Save or share” still works on your phone. If a reason suggests something unlawful, we act as the law requires (section 5).
If you watch a video by link, respect the people in it: don’t copy, change or pass on the video in a way its owner or the people shown wouldn’t want, and don’t use it to deceive anyone.
10. Made with AI
Every Albumagic video is made by AI. It doesn’t show real events or real footage.
AI results vary and can’t be fully controlled. Faces may look different from the original; expressions, apparent age or features may change; movement may look unnatural; hands, teeth, eyes, text and backgrounds may be distorted; the edges of a photo may be extended with details that weren’t there; and details may be left out. Our checks reduce these problems but can’t remove them.
Results depend a lot on the photos. Small, old, blurry or damaged photos usually give weaker results, and small photos may be enlarged by AI first. AI output can contain errors, including in the titles, so check the video before you use it.
Videos that bring people to life, especially someone who has died, can be very emotional. Watch the video before you show it at an event.
Every video file carries “Made with AI” in its metadata. Don’t remove it, and don’t present the video as real footage in a way that could mislead people. When you share it beyond family and friends, say that it was made with AI.
11. Our responsibility
We work to keep Albumagic running, but we can’t promise that it will always be available or free of errors. It may be unavailable during maintenance or when one of our providers has an outage.
To the extent the law allows, the service and the videos are provided “as is” and “as available”. Apart from what these terms say, we make no promises about the service or its results, including that a video will meet your expectations, be free of errors or suit a particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, and our total liability to you for all claims about the service is limited to the greater of what you paid for the video concerned and US$50.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for harm caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or any other liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, and nothing in them limits your rights as a consumer.
If you live in the EU or the UK, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill, but not for loss that isn’t foreseeable. Albumagic is for personal use, and we aren’t liable for business losses.
We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages at our providers, war, natural disasters or epidemics. If a video can’t be made because of them, section 7 applies.
Some countries and US states don’t allow some of these exclusions; where you live, they apply only as far as the law allows.
12. Ending or changing the service
You can stop using Albumagic at any time. Deleting your account in Settings deletes your photos, videos, working files and account, and ends these terms. Unused free videos and any remaining changes are lost. We keep purchase records, without any link to you (Privacy Policy, section 8).
We may suspend or close your account, refuse an order or end watch links if you break these terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable and lawful, we will tell you why in the app. If we close your account through no fault of yours, you keep the rights the law gives you for any purchase you couldn’t use.
We may stop offering Albumagic, or stop offering it in a country. If we close it altogether, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before, where we can, so that you can save your videos and use your free videos. If you then hold a paid purchase you couldn’t use, write to us; you keep the rights the law gives you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the service, the law or our providers change. We will post the new version here with its date. The app asks you to accept the terms for every new order, so a change applies from your next order. A change doesn’t apply to a purchase you made before it, unless it is in your favour or the law requires it. If you don’t accept a change, you can stop using Albumagic and delete your account.
Sections 4, 11, 13 and 14 continue to apply after these terms end.
13. Law and disputes
Please talk to us first. Write to us with a short description of the problem, and we will try to resolve it within 30 days.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and by US federal law where it applies. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in New York, and you and we accept their jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in a small claims court that has jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer living outside the US, you keep the protections of the law where you live that a contract can’t take away, and that law applies where it must. You may bring proceedings in the courts where you live, and we may bring proceedings against you only there. In the EU and the UK, you can also contact your local consumer authority. We don’t currently take part in an alternative dispute resolution scheme.
The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods doesn’t apply.
Other legal points
- These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the service.
- If a court finds part of them invalid, the rest stays in force.
- If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we don’t give it up.
- We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms to a company that takes over the service, as long as your rights aren’t reduced. You may not transfer yours.
- Apart from Apple (section 14), nobody else has rights under these terms.
- These terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version applies to the extent the law allows.
- We give notices about the service in the app and on this website. We can’t email you, because we don’t have your email address unless you write to us.
14. Apple and Google
You get the app from Apple’s App Store or Google Play, and their terms also apply to your use of the store and to your purchases. If these terms conflict with the store’s terms on a matter the store controls, such as payment or refunds, the store’s terms apply to that matter. Google isn’t a party to these terms and has no obligations under them.
If you got the app from Apple’s App Store, these terms also apply, as Apple requires:
- Acknowledgement. These terms are between you and Bridgeshore Labs only, not Apple. Bridgeshore Labs, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content. These terms don’t set usage rules that conflict with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Scope of licence. We grant you a non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the app may also be used by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Maintenance and support. Bridgeshore Labs is solely responsible for maintenance and support of the app, as these terms describe or the law requires. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- Warranty. Bridgeshore Labs is solely responsible for any product warranties, express or implied by law, to the extent they aren’t effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any, to you. To the maximum extent the law permits, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses caused by a failure to conform to a warranty are Bridgeshore Labs’ responsibility.
- Product claims. Bridgeshore Labs, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws. These terms don’t limit Bridgeshore Labs’ liability to you beyond what the law permits.
- Intellectual property. If a third party claims that the app, or your possession and use of it, infringes their intellectual property rights, Bridgeshore Labs, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You confirm what section 1 says under “Sanctions”: you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated by the US government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Developer name and address. Questions, complaints or claims about the app go to Bridgeshore Labs, LLC, 1818 Bellmore Ave, North Bellmore, NY 11710, USA, support@bridgeshorelabs.com.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile data plan.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right, and is deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
